I just got the Grand Rapids concert with bittorrent off of easytree and it has this band called Gob Roberts.

I'm looking into them and i'm not finding much of their lyrics posted anywhere. But from what i'm hearing these guys are outstanding. Is Gob Roberts, tim robbin's band thats what i've gathered.

But the opening of this show was great this was fantastic. The way gob opened up then just blasted out some fantastic political lyrics.

Anyways anybody know anything else about them?

I searched for them on amazon but came up with nothing. I love Here's to the State of Mississippi.

You won't find much about them online. It's Tim Robbin's band. I thought they kind of stunk at the 2 shows I went to. All of their songs sound the same. I like Tim though. He's better at acting.

Some of the songs they did on the tour were songs written for the Bob Roberts soundtrack that was never released. They also did a cover or two on the VFC tour. I know that "Complain" was a song they did almost every show that was from the Bob Roberts movie.

I thought they were really fun at the 5 VFC shows I went to...

Not musical geniuses, but still a solid band with some fun music. I especially enjoyed "Drugs Stink" and whatever that song is called that goes "George W find yourself another country to be part of!"

There are three sources circulating. The one I taped and seeded has the whole show, all three bands. Check the Pearl Jam 2004 BitTorrent sticky, page 5.
