no matter what some of the people say...
this concert will most likely, NEVER be toped for me...
Ive seen a few better Pearl Jam concerts...
but over all...
the Toledo 04 show is going to be VERY HARD to beat in my book.
I mean, I drive like, 10+ hours to see my fav. Band.
One of the all time greats... and another one of my all time favs. shows up un-announced... the place goes NUTS-O
the small venue as it was
the energy was amazing.
my fav. song was played (Save You)
and RITFW... WOW
the ending NOTE Itself is over 3 mins long...

I still remember thinking to myself... as the intro to All Along the Watchtower was played...
"HOLY SHIT THEYRE PLAYING ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER"
on the way back home, me and my roomie stoped at a truck stop with a Hardees in the middle of no where Indiana... and there was a good 15 other Pearl Jam fans in their... was great... the girl working their said something like "where are you all coming from?" and when we told her Toledo, she was like WTF??? hahaha... then we got lost in chicago because of constuction on the highway too, took us 1 hour of driving in downtown chicago to find the higwhay again. and didnt get home till around 7am if i remember right? but damn was it worth it. Not once did we bitch about getting lost / the drive... that night was WELL WORTH IT.

i drove 6 hours from southern indiana for the show, MY FIRST SHOW, and it was amazing. but, i must say, toledo is the shittiest city in the united states tho..
ps
anyone every notice that pearljam.com has the presets wrong?
they have Dead Man Walking, and Throw Your Arms.
when actually it was Patriot then Hide Your Love Away. I was right in front of Eddies face..i could have cried, i was actually too choked up to sing

i think someone mentioned a while back the pre-sets are one day off.
i heard patriot in St. Louis, man I love Eddie's version of that song, especially if he wails "someday!!!"
it depends on what you're into. i drove 10 plus hours as well and came away with the worst pearl jam experience of my life. the setlists of every other vfc show had me excited. instead it was a greatest hits set that ended as a neil young show. i paid to see eddie sing. of my 18 pearl jam experiences, this is easily my worst.
