are fans tired of hearing this? will die hards collectively say "boo" and then go to the pisser???
I think Pearl Jam is ready to move the way of the jam band and not repeat a song for 3 shows in a row. Their music is powerful enough to not rely on specific songs but the power of the collective.
As for Even Flow, if they spaced it out enough, I think even the diehards would be happy with the power that it brings to the live show.

they didn't play it at 4 of the 14 shows last year, including 2 in a row (Wembley and Dusseldorf)
that made it nice to hear again

No one will "boo" any PJ song. We've just paid alot of cash to get to/see PJ, so no booing. However, I could do without hearing Even Flow for awhile, particularly since Matt plays it too damn fast.

Every band sooner or later ends up with staple songs, stuff that just has to be played live. If I saw a bunch of shows in one long stretch on a tour, I'd want to hear Even Flow at the majority of those gigs.

I think you need EvenFlow for the MIKE SOLO>.. i think thats why we still hear it just about every show... and now since 05 they have instituted the MATT SOLO also... so for those 2 reasons alone i dont see it going away any time soon
