I have been doing research on this subject and it seems that no sites have consistent information. I went to hard to imagine and 1/2 of the shows that are suppose to be FM/SBD are not. I would like to start a list where we compile FM/SBD shows. If this is accurately done elsewhere please let me know. Here is What I personally have thus far: ANy more help or additions to the thread would be appreciated.

Seattle 7-22-98
Berlin 11-03-96
Hawai 92
Melbourne Australia 3-5-98
10-06-91 hollywood CA
MTV Unplugged
Pink Pop 92
12/31/92 NYC
Vegas Vault SHow 93
Atlanta 94
Soldier Field 95

The Hard to Imagine FM/SBD guide is missing a couple shows, but all those shows are FM's or SBD recordings. Not all FMs sound great, and there are very few true soundboard recordings of pearl jam out there. Here is another thread about FM/SBD recordings.

you should venture outside the world of SBD/FM, and into the beautiful universe of audience recordings.

kinda. mansfield is an ALD but most people who have it have the version that has the aud tape mixed in with it too. ALDs can sometimes have hiss or other problems and usually lack in the low end.

also gotta agree with given2fly23..... audience recordings are awesome!!! especially when its a good rig, in a good spot.... MMMMMMMM

The majority of my collection is audience recordings and trust you me, i love them. Please, if you hav esuggestions of what ausiance recording are the best as far as quality please pass it on. What i am trying to do (have been for the last five years or so) is do a compilation similar to Green Habit's with every PJ original and cover they have played live, with the best possible audio per every song.

For example Dirty Frank has a soundboard recording from te 06 tour, i perferably would like Dirty Frank from the early 90's. I want to find out what the highest qaulity recording of that song is from that era. I realize dirty frank was part of the 12-31-92 SBD show released by PJ so maybe that is not the best example but i hope you catch the drift.

Again this is something i have worked on for a long time and most of it is ready to go but some songs i really want to look to update that were not played on the 05-06 tour, most of wich are covers are:

No Way (First and Foremost)
I only play for money
I can't Explain
Redemption Song
Ball and Chain

These are just to name a few, and maybe i have the best possible versions of these out their but that i do not know. So I figured the true and only way to find that out is to go thru the majority of the lower qaulity recording have of these songs (which is few) and request them. As i siad i have been doing this compilation off and on for so long i feel i owe it to myslef to do it.

Again, I hope this makes sesne to some of you and i ope those are willing to help!!

Thanks!!!

Pearl Jam played Ball and Chain? If you're not referring to the 2002 version with Ed, Mike Ness and Mike McCready, I'm gonna punch myself in the balls until I pass the fuck out.

No, that's cool...I just got a little scared there for a second. Social D is in my top 5 bands, and if Pearl Jam (and PJ alone) did a cover of Ball and Chain and I missed it, I'd have been more disappointed in me than my dad was when I told him I once stuck my finger in my ass.

Thanks for the link!!!! As i have read i guess that this is what i am asking for, "best sounding pre-2000 boots" As somebody stated 11-14-97 Oakland that is soundboard is terrible sounding. I want the best sounding stuff. I have beeen away from the trading circle for a few years now besides a few cravings here and there so i sincerally appologize for what i am sure is a over asked question. This project is just something i have devoted a lot of time to and want to finish for my sanity....

Again, i hope this makes some sense!!!!!

The PJ release of that show is actually an audience recording.

Did they (basecamp) or any PJ entity say anything about this? Not doubting you as it sounds to be audience to me as well. Just remember all the uproar when this hit. Never seen anything from any official source.

What? The official pearl jam sources are always so great about providing pertinent information!!!

That is DEFINITELY an audience recording, and it's the same recording (higher generation, to my ears anyway) than the bootleg that had irculated for years before hand.

I believe both of the Inglewood, CA shows from 1998 have an ALD source. I could be wrong. They sound pretty perfect.
