the setlist they showed on the big screens during the encore break had "porch [short]" written. they lied.

it was amazing but Ed's go out and vote crap in the middle kinda knocked it down a peg for me.

i always thought the RVM from that show was one of the greatest things they ever did, even though Ed fucks up the first verse.

i dont think that show will ever be topped for me.

he seemed to lose his way at the end of his rant. it just kind of petered out.

I thought that rant was awesome, and it makes that version of Porch.

oh, i like it, too- it was the perfect place for it and he knew it- but the last third of it or so he seemed to lose his focus. certainly not his most well-spoken and fluid rant. the message was clear; he just stumbled a bit getting it out. that's all i'm saying. doesn't detract from the performance and experience in any way. i still get chills at "this HAS to be the time..."

so do I

I also like when he changed "two riders are approaching" to "obama is approaching" during Watchtower. It sounds corny now, but at that time it was awesome.

To me porch has always been about making a statement from the time he wrote pro choice on his arm till this version.

the problem for me was he already brought up politics 3 times with No More at that show. I get it, Ed!
