Truthfully i'm not sure if this is a typical PJ fanbase thing or whatever but how fucking lame are those cheers from the crowd everytime Ed says "fuck"?

discuss.

Isn't there one show where he got all pissed off & said all I have to say is fuck & you people just cheer? Can't remember now but that sounds familiar.

I think this happens at alot of concerts, not just PJ.
It's a reflection of our upbringing more than anything, imo. It's drilled into us as kids not to say 'the bad words' so when someone does it out loud over a P.A. people tend to automatically think 'oooh, what a rebel' and cheer him on. Especially when it's done by someone you admire.

This doesn't make it any less lame but I can understand it. I also recall Ed saying something about people cheering his swearing but can't remember if he was pissed at it or laughing about it

I spend most of the day telling people not to swear so i do find it pretty lame. Although being a hypocrite i swear a bit myself in certain company, especially playing golf.

My mommy wouldn't let me go to rock concerts as a boy because of the bad words the singers would say in between songs. So as a grown man I cheer when they say bad words because mommy was stupid and mean to me.
