Some of my favorite Pearl Jam live memories come from this great venue. Here is my top 5 from the 6 times I've seen them grace the stage there:
5) i am mine / last soldier debuts
4) throw your arms around me preset
3) masters of war > gone > around the bend > thin air combo.
2) halloween encore - band dressed as the village people
1) live debut of low light

My favorite short set yet is Bridge '01 night two. I'd take it over Boston III's preset or the Unplugged appearance.
Not really a small venue but very nice. Maybe you're thinking of Santa Barbara's Bowl?

It's not a small venue, that's the major problem with the place. If you're in the lawn area, it's terrible. I live here and I would rather see a show in SF (Bill Graham, Fillmore, Warfield, etc.) anyday of the week instead of driving out to Shoreline. That being said, there have been some great PJ moments there and they seem to really like it.
Relatively speaking, I thought it was small. I had always heard so much about the Shoreline Ampitheater over the years and I always imagined this huge place. When I finally went there for Bridge 2006 I was totally shocked at how small it seemed. They say it holds about 20,000 though.
Regardless, I loved the atmosphere. Great venue IMO

Thank you. At first I thought everyone on RM had lost their mind. Shoreline sucks! Anything is better than shoreline.
