Was just listening to the Mirrorball Album...
And I remember (I think?) Once seeing a clip of PJ and NY doing Act of Love on Letterman??? (I think?) But as its not considered a PJ performance? I dont see it listed anywhere... (and its not on Youtube)
But I did see that Stone and Jeff joined NY and Crazy Horse at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame induction... (But that is also not on Youtube)

So, anyone know if they did play Letterman? (Or am I dreaming)
and... anyone have the audio / video of either??? Im going to see NY next week, which has me in a big NY kick...

also...

Would it not be great to get another mini tour with PJ and NY...
Mirrorball is just such a great album (imo)

But how great would a mini tour be?
PJ opens with a short acoustic set...
NY with a short acoustic set...
NY plugs in... for a short set
PJ for a short electric set
then PJ and NY for a final electric encore of
All Along the Watchtower, Act of Love, Throw Your Hatred Down, Fucking Up, and RITFW

To my knowledge, PJ and Neil Young never played together on Letterman. They have played the song live together at least once, but I don't know the place or date. Hope that helps; surely someone with greater knowledge of the setlists can give you more concrete answers.

And yes, a Neil/PJ mini-tour would blow my mind. I'd be in seventh heaven.

Yes, no joint TV performance as far as I'm aware of but do you mean this one perhaps?

...and PJ & NY have played the song together on-stage on 1995.01.14 (obviously excepting the Mirrorball tour).

yes...
the 1-12-95 one was the one i was thinking of...
I must have seen that one somewhere If they never did Letterman

the 1-14-95 version is on pearljamlive.com (at the end of Pearl Jams concert for that one)

I hate saying bands should and shouldnt do... BUT
They really should do a mini tour together / and capture it on DVD
or hell... even another album... lets get nuts :haha:

Unfortunately, Neil is not in that place anymore. Maybe in five years or so when he's working on Archives Volume 4 and gets nostalgic for the 90's, he'll give Stoney a call...
