I agree. I love it when they pull it out of their hat. They play it occasionally which is a good thing (not to overplay it), hopefully they keep it that way in the future and don't forget about it.

Everyone do yourself a favor and listen to Nothingman Holmdel '03. Sound quality, Ed hitting every note...simply perfect. It's Stone's favriot song too.

How do you know its stone's favorite song
It's always gorgeous. It's like indifference. Has their ever been a bad version?

Nothingman is an awesome tune. The live version LO2L is great, as are most versions of songs on that album.
I've always thought this song suffered a little from the fact that it's on Vitalogy. The 10 actual songs on that album are so good, it's hard not to overlook a couple.

since it's my favorite schtick on RM---how does Nothingman stack up to even flow?

I got to hear this one in Barrie in 98 and it was great. Easily one of my fav PJ live songs, its great to pop in a boot without looking at the setlist and hearing the intro. LO2L, St. Louis 98 and Seattle II 2000 versions are a few of my favorites.

I think one of the shocking things about Nothingman is that, despite being a Vitalogy song, it was played a whopping FOUR times until 1998, when it became more of a staple.
That song didn't deserve to be a rarity for that many years.

definitely one of the weakest songs off vitalogy.
