Allright,
I'm off for two days here,
when I'll be back, I want to see 3 pages of praise for this show.

IMO this is one of the ultimate defining Pearl Jam shows. This gives me chills, makes me cry and makes me happy all at the same time. Long Road opens in an extremely haunting way, there are absolutely no words for Off he goes (Anthony's favorite song) and then they follow with thé song, thé Daughter/It's OK. Seriously, jones beach is nothing compared to this, just nothing. people who say otherwise 1. were at Jones Beach 2. have only heard Jones Beach 3. are retarded. this is where it's at. This is the emotion, this is the band using the strength of live playing, of the audience to find a motivation to go on, this is a turning point in PJ history. Virginia Beach 00 = Pearl Jam. this is us and them together. this is a band, completely insecure, but seeing the love for its music, from themself and from the fans. top 5 all time PJ shows. easily.

"sing cause it's outside, sing cause you're still alive, just sing"

good night

I absolutely agree. For a long time after hearing that show, it was my cd of choice for when I was heading off on a drive out of town. Just something nice and cathartic about it and the need to leave things behind while acknowledging them. The It's OK is off the charts and the vulnerability is really amazing, especially given the confidence that they're playing with on this tour.

It was a beautiful night. I agree on all points. Highly underrated.

I sure wish they'd come back...

This was my first ever PJ show, and what a way to start it off. I've been to 5 more since then. It was definately a special night. I cannot believe it was practically 6 years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Man, hard to believe it was 6 years ago. Where does the time go? Obviously, I wasn't at the show. Bet it was kick ass. It was one of the first boots I got. I wanted to hear how they dealt with it, wow.

The Daughter/It's ok combo is one of my favorite moments on all the boots. Just awesome. Whenever I pull out my 2000 tour collection to listen to a show or two, this one's always one of the first shows I grab.

the Jones Beach 'it's ok' tag always seemed to get the attention and praise for some reason. the VB 00 version blows it away in my opinion. it gave me chills that night and listening to the boot i still get them. that was an amazing night.

My absolute favorite show of that tour. I can't ever put that show in while I'm at work, or doing anything where the music would just be classified as cool background noise. It grabs my attention and forces me to drop what I'm doing every time. Especially Long Road. No matter how many times I listen to that show it always makes me sad, yet happy/hopeful at the same time.

I was at the show...the "It's OK" tag is one of my most memorable concert moments of any band, period. Very moving.
