Arc, eh?
Does this put to rest the "the song was played nine times for a reason" argument? Or, because this is a solo tour, does it not "count" for that?
I don't mean to be crass, but I've never fully bought into the "Arc is sacred" line of thought that many seem to have.
the status could be maintained if it's played 9 times again cause this tour would be a special occasion. To be honest, i think the whole band has been grieving the events that took place in Denmark but I think Eddie, being the emotional guy that he is struggled the most with it and felt the most desire to express it in a special way to the outside world. With that light shining on it, it would make perfect sense for Ed to do it once more, 9 times.

I guess we'll see.
I'm more inclined to believe that Eddie just feels he has the right venues and reasons to play the song live again. Anyone who saw Arc in 03 knows that there were shitheads who would scream and holler throughout. In the smaller venues he's playing, it has a better chance of being heard (though I am sure there are still some douchebags) by an audience likely to be more appreciative of it and its message. It's a beautiful work that I would have to think means a lot to him and I can certainly see him wanting to perform it again. And now that he has that better setting to do it in, there it is on the set. Like I said, I never felt Arc was that sacred song that we'd never hear again. I've always felt that we hadn't seen the last of Arc in a live setting, and I am very glad he is performing it again, because it deserves to be heard... not only for the performance, but for the meaning as well.

Arc had lots of people in tears. I don't think it was just that he had the right venue/setting for it but that he's learned some new tools from Liam.. it's pretty interesting how quickly Ed picks up new things.
At any rate, it was amazing. I've been ot a lot of shows and this performance was stellar. I am really hoping to hear it again somewhere else on the tour.

Certainly possible. I'm just glad he's doing it again instead of leaving it be a one tour memorial thing. There's no need to leave it be in the past, IMO. It is just as meaningful today as it was then, and a good reminder of how lucky we are to still be able to come together to hear music as one. Many people, not just the nine friends we'll never know, have had more than that taken from them.
