I'm leaving for Atlanta with my family tomorrow and would love some suggestions for shows to take with us on the road.

Would love some suggestions for '06/'08 boots where the mix is near perfect.

I know for sure I'm taking SF III '06, and Roo, Hartford, MSG II, and Mansfield II of '08.

Thanks in advance.

If you're going on a road trip you don't want PJ. You want AC/DC's 'Back in Black' and 'Highway to Hell'.

My bad.

AC/DC? Really? If you dig the same guitar chords, same drum rhythms, and plain old root and fifth bass notes, and toss them together with coarse vocals and bad lyrics, then yeah, they'll work for a road trip. I always go with Tom Petty though as a foundation and build up from that.

How about no music? The sound of nature is always good.

If you must, AC/DC is great, Dire Straits has really good driving music too, sultans of swing is awesome.
Make your own mix. Listen to PJ on your own time, don't make your family listen to it too! :)

Nature? On a road trip? I hear the sound of cars, trucks, SUV’s and diesel powered engines on asphalt. Sometimes I’ll hear tires squeal, and horns blare. That's one of the reasons why I like music so much on a long drive, it drowns out the above noises. Maybe if I had some augmented hearing I could hear a bird chirping a mile from the interstate. When I’m hiking, yeah, nature is great, but that’s not a road trip. That’s hiking, camping, or maybe a canoe trip or something along similar linesl.
