attention east coast jammers-

ever think your city has the best fans? well let's prove it during these Ed solo shows by being quiet and giving Eddie the mellow vibe he is looking for. if you have any yahoos sitting near you yelling out shit like requests for Release and Yellow Ledbetter tell them to STFU too. The louder and more obnoxious we are in between songs the more ornery vedder's going to get.

So let's STFU and let others know that these are quiet shows in intimate venues, not full blown PJ arena rock spectaculars. who's with me?

good luck with that
I thought only casual morons were shouting..but the 1st one at LA2 was the guy 3 seats from me in the 10c section.
Mind you Ed shut him up nice and proper, he didn't pip a word the rest of the evening.. unfortunately other people didn't get the message :shake:

If he played a show in Florida, I would gladly do that. But....

I totally agree with the original post. However, from past experience I think it is best to not worry about it. There is only so much you can do. If you spend all your time worrying about keeping others quiet, it will simply ruin your night even more. (There are too many people that are going to try to be like some of the folks on the beneroyal disc...simply trying to hear themselves on a bootleg)

My plan is to be quiet and hope for the best...however.....if there is someone near me acting like an idiot, I will certain throw them a "Dude, STFU!!!"

Anyone screaming during a show like this is either someone who doesn't know how to behave, or drunk. You're inviting a fight if you start telling people to shut the fuck up. I can't imagine EV would short-change 3,000 people because a few of them are being obnoxious. I've never been to an event in Boston where there wasn't a ton of fans who had too much to drink, so it's bound to happen anyway. I'm not gonna worry myself over what others are doing.

i'm all for the STFU movement when it comes to chest-beating knuckleheads who have no idea why they're there, let alone realising how lucky they are to be there. but then, people should just STFU at any intimate concert. i hate it when idiots think they're standing in front of a human jukebox and seriously, WHY oh WHY would someone hear Eddie play Even Flow, of all songs, in this acoustic configuration. human lunacy knows no boundaries :shake:

I really hope idiots don't ruin it tonight!!! If they try it and they're near me,...I'm not sure if if I'll get up in their face with a STFU or not -- I've had good results with that sometimes, but I've also managed to pointlessly fuel the flames, and make myself even more angry, on other occasions... it will depend on my mood at the moment....
