Im hearing a live version of Alive from unknown date at the first page of pearjamlive.com and the solo is coming from the right channel...and it sounds more defined and less harsh to the usual Mike tone...so everything indicateds that it is Stone...

I'd like to hear that. Stone and Mike should start bustin out some wild and unexpected moves to mix up the songs in general. I want to hear an improved stone solo at the end of Given to Fly or a breakdown and stone solo during the middle of corduroy. I think that they should go crazy with some improv and departure during songs that isn't usually done. The options are limitless Queens of the Stone Age, for example, are awesome at this type of thing and I think that PJ should start breaking outside of that comfort zone and into some adventurous improvs.

Stone had a wicked solo on Fuckin' Up from the DC 2006 show. I took a friend from Philly to the Camden shows this past summer. He loves Porch with all the jamming. They played it on the first night and Mike handed off the soloing to Stone at one point. I know its kind of rare but I guess Stone gets the spotlight every now and then. I love the DTE solos. They're always interesting.

He took the Fuckin' Up solo on that whole tour I think. He also took RITFW which I think revitalized that song in 2006.
