Seriously, it's like two and a half minutes long. It's not like Evenflow that's eating up a lot of time.

It's a good song, and not everybody in attendance at PJ concerts is at their 20th concert, alot of them are at their first and have never heard the song live.

i didn't say it was a bad song, i meant to convey that it's being played to death. it's to 2009 what animal was to 2000

I'm with ya. It's one song that I would like to see them play a lot less.

After all these years I still love it... was thrilled they played it in Toronto.

My wife was with me at the Perth show and it was her 1st show. She loves the song (it contains her favourite lyric line) and it was an excellent sing-along.

I'm very glad they played it and I am happy to hear it at any show I go to.

i really like everything that comes after mike takes over, but yeah, they play it very often too, and does take a lot of valuable show time. but i prefer getting black to alive on any given night.

even flow should be played at EVERY show, like corduroy.

Black and Alive are THE Pearl Jam songs. you have to play them. have to.

Small Town is cool near the end but it can take a rest. Daughter can go forever though.

edit: forget i said that. people who see so much PJ that they are bored with songs are douchebags ;).

I always enjoy it. One of those songs that I get tired of hearing on bootlegs, since it is very common, but I wouldn't want them to stop with it. Great crowd moment.

Small Town is a GREAT concert song. One of their best sing-along songs. Really gets the crowd into it, and the band seems to really love it. I've heard it at most (if not all) of the concerts I've been to (I think 25 shows), and will never get sick of it.

The part where it goes "my God, it's been so long, never dreamed you'd return" is usually a concert highlight. Every. Time.
