Not sure if I should start a new thread for this or not, but would anyone from here at the RM be interested in a pre-show meet up? There's a few good places around Key to grab some food/drinks, just throwin' it out there.

Well, since the board was down it has given me time to get home and write a review for this show.
I'd like to start out by talking about the new songs. Between night 1 and 2, we heard every song off Backspacer except SoS and Force of Nature. GSMF, Got Some, and Johnny Guitar were great rockers live, heard Got Some and Johnny both nights. The Fixer is a great filler live to keep the crowd energy up, which it was all night. Unthought Known blew me away. Fucking awesome. Just Breathe and The End with the string quartet were very moving. I thought Amongst The Waves night 1 was just ok live, Ed says despite rumors, it isn't about surfing. We got a one time only version of Supersonic where Ed changed the lyrics to be about Seattle losing the Sonics a few years ago.
The rest of night two; unbelievable. I loved Sometimes as the opener, we heard Porch, Faithful, a rocking DTE, and Black was spectacular right after the Just Breathe/The End combo. The Real Me had a horns section and yes, we heard No Way. They played it like they have played it a hundred times, really nailed it.
The two personal highlights for me were Lukin into Not For You, and closing the first set with Go. Fucking rocked! Not sure where Mike gets his energy, but he was crazy and non stop. Doing the robot, always getting his side to jump up and down, and the Star Spangled Banner after YL was insane, especially with the house lights on. Ed seemed to be in rare form, especially night 2. Night 1 was more "standard" as far as setlists go, and Ed gave a local political speech and a Target plug. Night 2 was him more loose and saying some funny shit. Stone fucked up a solo night one but was great night two. Matt is a monster back there, and Boom just played. I hardly noticed he was there, no solos, he was just really good.
All in all, both nights great but night 2 insanely better. I met some great peeps at the shows, hung out with Hinny, Swirls All Around, and a few others on here I'm sure. Just didn't know your RM names. Well, there's my two cents, I highly recommend buying the boot for night 2 when it's available.
Chris

Awesome review! Setlist night 2 was far better imo... I was following the set on The Pit and nearly choked on my food when I saw No Way pop up!

Nice review, Chris. I agree, night 2 was better than night 1. More of a "fan club" setlist if you will, but still a lot of the hits to keep everyone involved.
Anyway, it helped that I was in row 13 in front of Mike for night 2, as opposed to nosebleeds on night 1.
Can't wait for Saturday in Ridgefield and crossing my fingers for even closer seats!!

I couldn't see the show but I heard it was AWE-SOMMMEEE. I saw the band at SF Outside Lands and they kicked ass. I found this website that is posting live videos from ALL the shows tho which was pretty cool. But it still sucks
Oh, if you want to see what I'm talkin' about in case you missed out like me too here's the link:
