My friend asked me this question the other day; which song would you rather hear towards the end of a show? I thought this was an interesting question and was wondering what others think.

Baba

(although I'd much rather hear an original song over either of the two)

RITFW.

Everyone is so into it. Everyone goin apeshit. Extended guitar solos.
Baba should never have been butchered by PJ in the first place.

I like RITFW too for the same reasons, but damn the sing-a-long during Baba is pretty cool when the crowd is into it.

exactly. ritfw lasts anywhere from 6 to 9 mins nowadays. baba is just 4 mins, 6 mins if the end is extended.

baba there's really just one singalong part. ritfw its every chorus.

I find myself dissapointed by RITFW. Maybe it was too many SK versions. I like it much better now that Stone is taking the solo at the end (first time I noticed it was Canada 05). Sometimes Mike's fast playing wankery just left me behind. Stone's got that groove that I can get into. (I wish Ed said thats one more kid that will never go to school, never get to fall in love, never get TO BE YOU! more often. That line really makes it hit home.)

I have loved every Baba I have seen. The singalong in the middle with Ed coming back in just takes the whole place to a new level. I'll never forget being farther back in the venue than usual in Memphis 2000 and seing the entire crowd with lights on just let it loose.

If they can keep RITW harder edged I would take it everytime.

I grew up listening to the Who and it sounds extremely cheesy and awkward to hear PJ covering them. Some songs are done well, but the holy grails like Baba and Love Reign shouldn't be attempted whatsoever.

agreed. I dont know why but RITFW is totally missing something lately. Surprisingly it has somthing to do with matt cameron, he goes balls deep on every song BUT that one!

Stones solos definitely give off a more neil young vibe.
RITFW shoul dbe retired. Booms keys are kind of gay as well...

BABA is incredible though.

To be perfectly honest, neither. I've been hearing these songs at shows for the past 15 years and it would be nice if they played a few new covers in their place.

I actually prefer Fuckin' Up to RitFW or Baba.

I still say the ultimate PJ show opens with Release and ends with Indifference.
