Sexist name for a concert venue, but this will do. Might need to stop by Old Trafford to spit at the place.

Wonder what this arena (the biggest indoor venue in Europe?) will be like compared to MSG....

I might have to do some pre show research and try and find a place that does them!

I saw Counting Crows at the MEN in 2003. Christ, that venue is big. I remember lookin' around at how huge it was. I'm seeing them there in a couple of weeks, too. It's huge. Still, you line up and get close, it don't really matter how big the shed is, I suppose. Looking for'ard to the PJ, too!

You're not joining the spend all day queueing crew, are you? There better be some pub action on the day.

From the arena's homepage:

http://men-arena.com/about/?page_id=1590

Get the low down on the grunge poineers with the men-arena's top five Pearl Jam facts:

1: The Seattle five-piece will be performing tracks from their grunge-rock back catalogue alongside material from their as-yet-untitled new studio album.

2: Yada-yada-yada about Ten..

3: Yada-yada-yada about Ten..

4: Yada-yada-yada about Ten..

5: Yada-yada-yada about Ten..

Is there reason to think that the people writing this could actually have access to that kind of information? And do we (regardless of the info or not) think they'll give us a new song or two?

It's a massive room, same size as the MGM Grand in Vegas..I'm told it's far bigger than MSG though i've never been there.

As with the London show, I've got seated tickets for this one. Standing for 2 shows in 2 consecutive nights would fucking kill me.

The M.E.N. Arena was also named "Busiest Arena Venue In The World", based on ticket sales for concerts in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 beating competition from other indoor arena's including New York's Madison Square Garden and London's Wembley Arena. (2007 figures) The Arena has also been named the 'World's Busiest Arena' of the last 5 years (2001-2007) based solely on ticket sales for concerts, attracting five and a half million customers to concerts.

it was only beaten in 2008 by the O2 Arena London because of the residencies there by Prince and the Spice Girls
