Good advice and all, but I tend to prefer to go where the band is.

Although the Alpine Valley parking lot would be a lot easier to get out of on a non-show night...

Yep, just ask Stevie Ray Vaughan.

I fucking love Chicago. They are coming to my city this summer. Shouldn't this be in OB though?

It gets worse the higher up you go...
When I took my mom to see Macca there... upper deck BLEW... and that was for McCartney... i cant even imagine what a band that uses a lil feed back would sound like up there...

Neil sounded awesome in Allstate, but thats not nearly as big as UC

IM going to guess, it would still take at least a hour to get out of Alpine on a non event night LOL

the country music festival going on in OShkosh Wis right now is given Alpine a run though... people supposedly left at 1145, while the main act was still on the stage, and still took 2 hours to hit the highway... The highway isnt even a half mile away LOL
but that let all the hill billy rednecks work off the drinking so it was probably a good thing.

You're only allowed to go where the rest of us are going this time around.

That's my opinion too. If you're on the floor it's amazing. first level not so bad...after that you're in trouble.

Typical shitty arena sound. I've seen them 3 times there and 2 times at whatever the Fleet Center is calling itself now and it's the same...the closer you are to the center of the floor, or if in one of the bowls the closer to stage level you are, the better the sound. The farther away you are from this radius, the worse the sound, especially at the back of the venue, or front row (I'm guessing here, having never been front row at this actual arena).

After the dramatic improvement in my seat location in 2006 vs. 2003, I'm very excited to see where my seats are this year...

your seats improved? what's your number?

I'm 128xxx and my seats have consistently gotten worse. actually, 2003 might have been a "block" year, so what time you showed yup might have had something to do with it. I'm expecting Chicago I to have the worst seats of the 5 shows I go to this year, maybe 10/31 will be back there as well. Chicago II, San Diego and Philly 10/30 should be good.

I am 173xxx and have been side stage few rows up off the floor, always stone's side.

the allstate show i was actually first row on the side and those were pretty sweet, now it seems I am 5-10 rows back in the side section.

that's actually great. I would prefer side-stage rather than being more than 10-12 rows back on the floor.

No way, I was there real early in 2k3 after the Champaign debacle*, like 9am.

My seats were lower bowl but a ways back in 2003. In 2006, both nights I was lower bowl again, stage right, but only 10 rows up from the floor and one section back from the stage, which is actually more ideal than even with the stage.

I just hope my "better" seats this year does not equate to back of the floor. Really, if I'm not within say 20 rows of the stage on the floor, I'd rather be lower bowl front row :)

*Champaign, I arrived 1 hr prior to the Ten Club window opening, thinking this would be more than sufficient. This was my first Pearl Jam show and I was unaware of the "first come best seats" policy of the tour. Needless to say those seats were not that good :(
