The idea of Concert of the Moment has been kicked around for a while. Since today is the anniversary of PJ and this, their first show, I figured many people would be listening to this show or downloading it here (thanks GH).

Discuss anything and everything about the concert. The only prerequisite is a fresh listen (or a good memory).

If there is an interest in Concert of the Moment then maybe this could become a weekly(?) event.

I'll toss my opinions in after I give it a listen.

I can't think of a better time to make this "Concert of the Moment" series official, so here's your sticky.

I don't think I'm gonna have time to listen this week, but I strongly encourage this idea.

tom - i was thinking of this idea lately as well, i think it'd be cool to get everyone's mind on the same page and talking about a particular show almost as if it had just happened, that's half the fun of tour time. I'm all for this idea..

maybe it should only be twice a month though?

Highlights: The first note. Looking back on it, you could just "tell."

Lowlights: Some nervousness. For the most part, they held back and didn't let loose. Atlernate versions.

Best Song: Alive. Their hit was born.

Worst Song: Release. Too many lyrical differences for me.

Surprising Song: Girl. It was performed well, I wonder what happened to it?

Hmmm?: I wonder if there are any current fans who were in attendance?

Essential?: Absolutely. A must have to anyone who collects or trades PJ music. Historic. I can't imagine that many bands have their first performance taped so consider ourselves lucky.

I think the all the versions of this come from the same source. I assume they are all cut.

Actually, the only audio source is from a VHS tape of the show.

I'm glad this idea came to fruition. I'll weigh in on it later...

As a historic document I'm very glad to have it,
but I can't say I haven't listened to it very much the last years.
It's still great to listen to just once in a while and think about the whole way this band has taken since that day.
