This may have been discussed on several occassions before (perhaps during each tour), but I seriously would like 10c to make some fundamental changes to their ticketing policy. (Mods, if need be, please move it to the right place)
As a frustrated fan club member who was shut out for almost four hours during the MSG 2 pre-sale, here's what I think: 1) Set a limit to the number of shows one can have 10c seats to. At least sell tickets in rounds. For example, the max shows one could get first priority for could be two. Although this may annoy fans who attend several shows, I believe in this day and age, there are only a handful of "touring" fans. Mosts of us are in our 30s...busy with work and life in general and are content with watching a couple of shows....and we don't want to travel from NYC to Kansas City to watch them play. 2) Give preference by city of residence. NY / NJ area fans should get a priority for shows in that area rather than fans from Boston or Philly. Not sure how the logistics would work there. 2) If the tickets don't sell out, make the extra inventory available as a round 2 sale to fans who have already bought their share of tickets (for e.g 2 shows) or to those who live in other areas. 3) Set up a separate microsite for each ticket sale. Am not a tech geek, but I am sure there's a way to do this. It sucks when people still looking for MSG 1 tickets or Boston tickets keep clogging the system during the MSG 2 sale...I felt like living in the dial-up internet world yesterday when all I was able to see was "page not found / network error". 4) Please arrange another pre-sale for a handful of seats through ticketmaster...specially for big markets such as Boston, NYC, Philly, etc...where your fan base is the most and where there aren't enough seats for fan club members. 5) Please understand that fans pay $25 every year mainly to get access to your concerts...xmas singles and Deep newsletters are just add-ons / accessories.
I have been pretty impressed the last few years with the fan club seats that I have gotten....they've been really been great seats and treats for my wife and friends. So good job there. But if you can improve the whole ticket buying experience, it will be very helpful to all fans.
Peace.

I think it needs to go to one show a tour with additional shows based on ticket availability. IE, IF you bought tix to Boston yesterday you couldn't also buy MSG that day but if for some strange reason one day after the presale began there were still tickets available by all means more shows could be purchased.
In a 12 show tour it's the only thing that makes sense.

lets know how you get on with that.
(good ideas by the way)
I took a shot...sent them a note...don't expect any reply....I am sure they have received thousands of notes and don't have the resources to read or think about them.
Maybe they will ignore my email...maybe the process may remain the same....as certain things do not change....but there's no harm in taking a chance!

Got a quick response....
"We are sorry you were not able to get MSG2 tickets. However we see you were able to get MSG1 tickets. Congratulations for that! We have members whole have tried for Boston, MSG1,MSG2,and Hartford and still couldn’t secure a pair. So you we are happy to see you are able to be one of the lucky ones joining us for these very special (and obviously difficult to get) east coast performacnces.
Thanks for contacting Ten Club

If you tell them to give priority to people living in the area of the shows in an era when they only play those area's anymore, you're shutting out a lot of people from any chance to see Pearl Jam. The idea is good, but only works if they play big tours and hit as many cities as they can. With their present small-tour East Coast/West Coast/Western Europe + a few exceptions formula, it just would be discriminating to a lot of fans.

what's the point in limiting if there's only a handful of touring fans? won't make any difference then.
And the band seems to appreciate the touring fans (based on Ed's shout outs to them/us) and the community it creates.

been discussed to death, but what about the people that don't live in areas/countries where the band plays that year, or even EVER? even the people living in populous areas might miss on their 'home show' anyway then don't have the chance to get to another close by one.
And where do you draw the line? someone from 1 state might actually be closer to a show in another state. someone from 1 country might actually have a show closer in another country. For Shepherd's Bush last year, they limited the presale to UK/Ireland and hardly any of my friends living in London (including several of us living a handful of miles from the venue) got 10c tix. But even if they'd limited it to London (and that's be hard to define) some of us would still have missed out.

micro-sites still have to be hosted by a server, it's not just a matter of different site name. They have already hugely improved things by separating the secure server that deals with the sales from the main site (including forums), so the forum traffic doesn't impact on the sales one anymore. Before everything was crashing at once.

unfortunately that's coming out of the same pool of tickets that fan clubs can get from the promoter/venue. I'm sure PJ would like to get more tickets for 10c, but they generally can't and putting some on a TM pre-sale would just diminish the number available on the 10c one, making in fact matters worse (plus the TM sale would be available to touts).

I have been shut out many many many times, but always ended up with tickets through ticket master. Yeah, I would love to get my 10c seats with my 75xxx number, but getting to the show is the main thing. I would never say you dont have a complaint, you did get msg1 and you will get seats thru tm I am sure. Good luck with your complaint I hope you can get me good seats every time, but I must say.... 1) "Set a limit to the number of shows one can have 10c seats to. At least sell tickets in rounds. I remember back in the day when I could only get one ticket per tour.........SUCKED! See everyone in Indy and Boston!

Hello 10club members: In an effort to provide more tickets to members who were unable to secure Ten Club pre-sale tickets for the Madison Square Garden shows on the Pearl Jam 2010 tour, Ticketmaster has agreed to another pre-sale for current fan club members. This pre-sale will be conducted by Ticketmaster.com <http://Ticketmaster.com/> , not the Ten Club, and the seats will not be allocated by seniority, but will be first come, first serve - while supplies last. Two tickets per member/per show. Ticket sales are limited.
Wow! Looks like you got your wish. Good luck to everybody!
