It's very disturbing and frankly quite scary.

Yet it fits perfectly into the groove of Vitalogy.

If they play this live, I will die. Not from excitement, but from aural torture.

So, what's the story with this song? Is the dialogue sampled from something? Did Ed put it together?

Yea I read that it was just a bunch of taped loops, and that it reveals "the darkest corners of Eddie's mind," or something like that.
It's a pretty crazy song; when I was younger, I would not listen to it, because it freaked me out!

Not so much in that it's just not music. You can be dark without being stupid. Bugs, Pry to, Aye Davanita, and the aforementioned Stupid Mop should all have been left off of Vitalogy entirely. They ruin the flow of what is otherwise a superb album, and they always get skipped on my playlists anyway.

it sounds to me like eddie has a submissive fetish, that's all. and trusting someone else enough to play sexual power games with them does mean you are very close with them...

I read somewhere that it was a recording of a child talking to a psychologist or something like that...

I think this song is great. Creepy as hell. a great closer to an album and i almost always listen to vitalogy in its entirety. i think the seques like aye davanita, pry to, and stupid mop add greatly to the mood of the album. look at Tools album "Aenima". it wouldnt be the same without the filler mood songs.

I think this song is an awesome closer, I love it, and think it closes out vitalogy very well.

Then Again, I'm one of those people that think Pry To, Bugs, Aye Danavita, and Heyfoxymophandlemama that's me, make Vitalogy complete, as opposed to ruining it.
