, where Eddie sings the chorus at least one octave lower, and the crowd still sings it in original pitch in the background. I thought that sounded awesome, but I lost this version. It was around 2006-2009. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

I dont recall no weird arrangements. I only listened to it once or twice, I am not that big a fan of Garden, anyway, but I kept thinking about how cool it was, when Eddie changed his pitch to a lower one, but the audience still sang it the usual way. It may very well be the first time (the only time?) he sang it that way. Just to clearify: when the first chorus comes up, in the normal version, the song lifts off, and you more or less scream the chorus. In the version I am looking for, the song did not lift off, no anthem, no screaming. Instead, he sang the chorus in a similar, propably even deeper voice then the verse, in a somber and mysterious way, while in the background, the crowd sang the usual anthem version. Shit, the more I describe it, the more I want it. I count on you, Hard Core Fans!

Found it! Yeah Warehouse, you were right, it has some changed arrangements, also. The particular version I meant is: Pavilhao Atlantico, Lisbon, Portugal 05 September 06
Take a listen. 1:20 - 1:45, high Gossebumps probability. Those Portugese can sing. Sounds awesome here. Thanks to anyone who thought about it.

Same thing happens at the Irving Plaza version. I hate that particular arrangement they did during 2006 tour because GARDEN is one of my FAVORITES. But, that Irving Plaza version is pretty grand.

Check out Milan 2000 - Ed does the same thing but the song is in the original arrangement

Ahhhh, yes!! See now, that one was fucking out of this world! Pretty close to Atlanta, I even dare to say.

 Ok, the thing I meant does not come through as good as in Lisbon, coz the crowd is barely audible. But thanks alot anyway: the overall version of Garden in Milan 2000 is spectacular! Plus I forgot how good the setlist was: it must be one of the best ever.
And how they and he sounded back then. When I watch the youtube Pinkpop http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=8Fxk2Jr ... re=related (the whole gig is up there) or Nuremberg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30BlueyXoyg gigs, I wonder: In what direction was Pearl Jam heading, creatively? These are the last shows before Roskilde. Obviously, Roskilde changed everything. So if it had not happended, where would Pearl Jam have gone with their next records? I think it would have been.... I dont know. But one thing is for sure: Roskilde fucked them up. I am not sure if they ever managed to overcome that.
I know I lost the topic, sorry. Just wanted to share these thoughts. Maybe they are worth a thread, but I am new here and shy.

I found the gratuitous use of the word 'fuck' when posting helped me overcome my shyness. I am confident that your thread, should you choose to make it, would sit comfortably among it's brother and sister threads in PJ Chat as an equal. Post it and they will come.

She's probably right. Best steer clear.

No inside joke, SOLAT319 just happens to be an excellent judge of character.

You are giving this far too much thought. SOLAT has the hots for me and gets a bit jealous when I have interaction with other Board members (such as yourself). It's usually best to humour her and try and steer the conversation towards Celine Dion (whom she loves and is a huge Fan Boi of) and most often she will then head off to listen to showtunes sung in French.

I am 100% trustworthy and at your service.
