So... a couple of days ago I received a text from my friend, asking about a live recording of a song that I showed him many years ago. I immediately knew which one he meant, and to my surprise and joy, this particular live recording was sitting almost on top of my CD stack which I had just moved to my new apartment.
I put the disc on, and OH Lord, what this particular performance does to me is stronger than any other song I ever heard. I just can not sit still ! ! !
After listening to it for the second night in a row, I started thinking two things: 1. there are so many pearl jam concerts I haven't heard - there are bound to be some other gems out there, which, even though I doubt they can surpass it at least come close to the feeling this song gives me. (I think I heard maybe 20 or 30 shows, not a lot compared to many people here I know, but anyways) 2. if both my friend and I love this song so incredibly much, maybe I should share it on a forum and maybe somebody else can discover it too... So.. if you have another live performance of a song that can rock me the way this one does, please direct me to it!
Ah, yeah, the song I was talking about... Betterman (with Save it for later tag), from State College, 2003 (May 3rd).

"You survived today. No matter...what band could come up here, this thing wouldn't happen without you. You're the whole reason this thing is even halfway..a success. It's you surviving the rain, it's you who's gonna be sick tomorrow, and it's you who we appreciate. Thank you."
