The Red Sox have applied for 3 licenses for 3 September concerts...Dropkick Murphy's, Might Bosstones and.....................Pearl Jam. It makes sense. They will be in Montreal on the 7th then the 8-10th off. Get ready for the gtweets next week. The city makes a decision on the licenses Monday.

I don't buy it. The gap before the Toronto show will probably be filled by doing promotional stuff for Crowe's PJ20, which will probably be playing at the Toronto International Film Festival, which starts on the eighth.

The Herald story is not iron clad...however, the're are good sources reporting this. David Wedge (from the Herald) is reliable.

Even if this happens chud, I'm sure the Montreal show will be much better than some enormo stadium show.

I saw one of those in 2009. I mean, it was still pretty good but would've royally sucked if you weren't up close.

Fenway isnt mega big, but it's not a good concert venue. I saw Sir Paul there a few years ago.

From what i heard around the way, the band was actually holding out for next year during Fenway's 100th anniversary AND PJ's possible new record tour. Now the word is U2 will be the big band playing Fenway next year.

The thing that would upset me is that I'm doing this on a tight budget, so if I had the chance to see them in Boston that week INSTEAD of Montreal I'd be pissed that I already committed to fan club tickets.
