Without a doubt, the recent setlists trump anything the band has done in the past. It has clearly brought a new element to shows, we as fans haven't seen taken this far. One thing I have always had a problem with was the repetitve vloser of yellow ledbetter. At this pt, I think it takes alot of surprise & strong finish away from the show. Why not try using as an opener. I always though that would work well. In add, I always wanted to hear release as an opener to an encore. PT i think fits this as well, although it has been used there much more often then release ever was... If you could advise Ed on any recommendation to the setlists, what would it be?

If anything, I'd push for less variety in the setlists.
A huge part of why the band sounded so great in 2000 is they played a lot of the same songs from night to night and didn't mess around with stuff that doesn't fit who they are anymore like Blood or Glorified G (though I love those songs, don't get me wrong).

I like a lot of the songs that they've added recently but spenno has a really good point. I don't necessarily want them to stop playing songs they normally haven't played, and if anything I want more songs from the No Code through Riot Act run. They just need to practice them more.
I remember reading a few tours back about how the band doesn't like to rehearse much before tours anymore. They really need to get the fuck over themselves and learn to be real musicians again, not just 5 dudes picking up instruments to lead a frat party.

Yeah, that is very true. They are never going to be as tight as band that plays the same set for a tour but fuck at least put some effort into it. I used to think the flubs were kind of cool for some silly reason but now I think they could put a bit more effort into it.
