I'm gonna skip Long Beach and spend 3 days in LA. Gonna go mad on the strip. Is it difficult to get into the clubs, like the Whiskey, The Roxy, The Rainbow and all those '80's metal joints? I've always wanted to go to all them. And I'm doing it! Are they hard to get into. Don't need to see a gig, just drinkin' like.
Any LAers with any advice?

Make sure you have a car, and then make sure you visit Amoeba records, its a little east of the Strip, but well worth the trip. And you shouldn't have problems getting into those bars.

Should be plenty of cabs - if you stay in Hollywood, it will be a little cheaper (the strip is in West Hollywood). I'm not shittin' you about Amoeba, its amazing. Make sure you go.
