Well, glad I fought off that minor urge to re-up my 10C membership the other day. I'm pretty much going to assume every announcement they tease involves Europe until they do otherwise.

One interesting thing is that I'll probably be able to see Soundgarden for the 2nd time since the last time I saw PJ before PJ starts touring this country again.
I assume by this you meant a 90 minute festival set performed in the white trash capital of Florida. With Dave Grohl guesting on drums for 'Even Flow' and Eddie doing 'Golden State' with dat dar Corin Tucker band.
Though... Eddie guesting with Bad Brains could be pretty cool.

Any rumors buzzing regarding US dates other than Alpine Valley?
Da 'Pit says another festival, this time in Atlanta (a city Jeff calls a knock-out).
If it's going to be a southern tour, I was hoping for Atlanta (a knock-out Jeff calls a city). If I could catch a Braves game while I'm there, that'd be perfect.

From what I gather from lurking the BRY forum, Alpine is supposedly not happening - just De Luna and Midtown Music in Atlanta. Any bet they're going to finish recording the album in Atlanta with Brendan around that time.
I've seen the Voodoo Experience festival in New Orleans in October bandied around too.

That's impossible, Sawyer promised.
If internet hearsay is to be believed (and really, why not?), it was talked of and explored as an option but the band ultimately decided against it this year.
There's been a bit of chatter about the band playing the Big Day Out in Australia in January/February 2013 on the Pit from a few different posters. I'll be happy to see them play again (last time was 2009) but a little annoyed if it means we miss out on hearing new material live, since I don't expect the new album til March or April.
If they were to do the festival run plus a full Oz tour either later in 2013 or in 2014, similar to what they did for Europe in 2009/2010, then that's not quite so bad. For what it's worth, they get rumoured for BDO almost every year - but since Soundgarden headlined this year's, I guess they could've set something up at the same time...
