Yeah, I can def. get behind that idea. I can't honestly think of an act that would get me along to a BDO these days.
I'm down for November 2012.

Maybe new album tour. I was quietly excited about the fact of possibly seeing them early feb next year but if it means waiting til later on with a new album etc then thats cool with me.
Im glad for soundgarden to be headlining but thats not enough for me to pull the trigger on tickets. If they are going to do sideshows however, thats a different story!

Hopefully this means a full-scale PJ Arena tour (please not Stadiums again!) here later in 2012 (03, 06, 09, 12?)
God, I hope so.
I really hope the stadiums in 2009 was a once-off.
I definitely wont be attending if they do that again.
You say that now, but as if you won't be up the front again next tour!
I dunno, my brother and my dad were there at that '09 show, but they got public sale (priority seating, more expensive) tickets. My brother almost didnt get on the plane because of fear of flying, my parents were trying to give him a few drinks and blah blah, he eventually braved it and got to melbourne, was really pumped for this show, hed never really been to a concert let alone pearl jam. they get in the room and theyre up the other end of a football stadium pretty much watching a video screen. imagine how he would have felt walking in and sitting down watching some specks on a stage. Keep in mind my dad actually paid MORE money for these tickets than other public sale ones. LUCKILY in the end my dad destracted a guard by complaying about it while my bro snuck over the fence and into the crowd on the floor. He ended up pretty close. But still. That is not pearl jam. And i will not be going if they play etihad stadium again.

In direct contrast to my full-blown addiction status after seeing them in Alpine Valley, I'd rather wait a good while before they start touring again. I'd love an album at least as good as Backspacer, and that shit takes time and focus.

Yeah - so, this just happened:

I've been a bit of panic since this news broke. I've got tickets to see Springsteen in Manchester next June and i'm getting married in July....yet somehow i know i can't miss this!!
Well it's pj and not EV so it might we'll be one or two new songs get road tested. They're probably touring to finance recording.
This needs to happen. I really think it severed them well in '94.
But I doubt they need the need the money for studio time. Even if the record costs $1mil to make, they (PJ Inc.) probably get that much in royalties/merch each calender year.

Awesome, so they play a weekend gig in Wisconsin, and that's the only U.S. tour until probably next August or later now? DEAR PEARL JAM, YOUR OWN COUNTRY LOVES YOU TOO

PJ resents the fact they are American or hadn't you noticed?
Also, WTF are they doing? My sources in N&D tell me that Europe is going to be filled with fires and riots next summer, so unless they are playing somewhere truly special, like on the Athenian Acropolis or the Amalfi coast or possibly Geneva, I may skip this one and let that blonde mullet wig wearing dude I see at every show enjoy it.

Manchester and the isle of wight festival in the UK are all but confirmed. Other reports saying the O2 London, lowlands festival and a gig in Copenhagen. I haven't heard anything about Dublin or the Iberian peninsula but it could be they're just doing a 3-5 show tour like in 09. And its a safe bet Pj tours do actually finance the recoding these days. Why else do it with nothing new to play?
