The venue is in the middle of nowhere, but easy to find. It is surrounded by auto dealerships and gas stations. The only restaurant that I could find in my brief exploration of the surroundings, was at the venue itself. The food sucks and is quite expensive. Other than that, it's a nice venue. Saw PJ there in '05 and had 10th row floor seats, stage Mike.

Yeah it's technically not even in Ottawa. It would be a bit of a cab ride from downtown Ottawa. I've seen a few Senators games there and there are a handful of restaurants where you can get a beer down the road. Probably about a 5-10 minute walk from the venue. I forget which restaurants are there. East Side Mario's or something.
What's the best way to get to the arena from Rideau centre? I hear there's a service called the 400 connexion, but i'm not sure where to get to from I'm near cumberland and laurier

For fellow Ottawatonians who don't know how to get to the show without a car - use this (I'm surprised if you haven't yet): http://www.octranspo1.com/travelplanner/travelplanner/ If you want to get there from the Rideau Centre, go to Albert/Bay and get on the 403 direction Scotiabank Place. I think it leaves roughly every half hour so check out which time is best for you. Should be a good concert!
