this would be an 8 hour drive one way. would it be worth it? never been to winnipeg.

I suppose it depends on where you're coming from/what you're looking for. Winnipeg's near some very beautiful lakes/rivers, and the city itself has some nice character, but it's really nothing too special. Being in September it should still be pretty nice but definitely stay away in the winter. In terms of the show, if you've got a low 10C number it could very much be worth it as it's a pretty small venue.

good show overall...as much as i was hoping for a slower start, and YL closer, it was good.

he acknowledged Neil in reference a few times, Mike was usual bouncing and playing the crap out of his guitar, I Got ID was nice, WMA tag, Cinammon Girl Tag, Down, Daughter, (NO BETTERMAN was nice), corduroy i could listen to at every show and every boot and i'd be happy....ed was passing around his wine, singing in the crowd (or appeared to be from my 200 level seats) and they played a nice long show.

shirts were ok....the PJ20 and PJ tour shirts were nice, but the Winnipeg and Beer type PJ shirts (molson canadian type logo) shirts were White, which is a deal breaker for me, so i opted for just my usual poster purchase....$30, ran it back to the car to keep safe and made it back for Mudhoney.
