I decided my dad needed some new PJ for his car so I made this. What do you guys think? It's not stictly rarities just so much as unusual tracks that arent always heard on PJ radio, and such.

Disc 1:
Of the Girl (Live acoustic, Benaroya Hall)
(speed) Wash (Live, Academy '92)
Elderly Woman (acoustic, Go B-side)
Black (Mookie Blaylock demo)
Daughter (acoustic on the tour bus, '92)
Of the Earth (Live Hyde Park '11)
Garden (Live acoustic '92)
Footsteps (EV audition tape, Mamasan Trilogy)
Last Soldier (Live Bridge '01)
Crazy Mary
Shower the People/Brass in Pocket (Live Zurich '92)
Running Out of Time (Live with C-Average, '97)
Dock of the Bay (Live '92)
Acoustic #1
Puzzles & Games
Speed of Sound (acoustic)
One Step Up (Bad Radio demo '89) [this is my dad's favorite Springsteen song]

Disc 2:
Porch (Live SNL '92)
Elderly Woman (Live solo acoustic '99)
I Only Play For Money (Live Frogs cover '95)
Little Wing (Live '06)
Man of the Hour (acoustic)
Garden (Live Milan '00)
Sunburn
Black/improv tag (Live Ottawa '05)
Harvest Moon (Live '05)
Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Times They Are a-Changin' (Live)
Mother (Live Argentina '11)
Walk With Me (Live Bridge '11 with Neil Young)
Yellow Ledbetter (Mookie Blaylock Demo)
I'm Still here

I'll just say that I hope my kids make me mix CD's of non-shit music when I'm in my 40's. Nice gesture--though I think you've managed to confuse your dates on "Dock of the Bay."

I actually downloaded that from Frostwire like 9 months ago before I realized Frostwire sucks. I'll check the dates, thanks :D

Porch was supposed to close disc 1, but iTunes spread it across 2 playlists when I set it to burn. But it kinda works because disc 2 opens with "Once again... Pearl Jam!"

Of course now iTunes decides it's gonna fuck me with error messages...

Edit edit: nope :/

I think the 06 Bridge School Benefit has a version.

Live acoustic Man of the Hour has been done, at Bridge and at Benaroya, this is studio though. I dont think it's solo Ed, I'm listening on headphones and there seems to also be a quiet electric guitar and a bass guitar. It's somewhat slower than the Big Fish version. And no keyboards.

Me too. You should have used the 7/11/03 version. It's more acoustic.

I think the "Man of the Hour" demo is solo electric, not acoustic. Seems like these Frostwire files are failing you--you may want to double check your "Speed of Sound (acoustic)" to ensure it isn't actually the studio recording of James Taylor's "Fire and Rain" or some such.

Downloading now. But the dirty groovy intro to the Benaroya version is impossible to be improved upon.

I got the Man of the Hour demo from Gremmie, as I did with the Speed of Sound demo. I dont listen to Man of the Hour often, so I wasnt sure, but I listened on headphones and I'm fairly certain the intro is plugged acoustic, and then an electric guitar and bass guitar kick in.

You won't be disappointed. In fact, that entire solo set owns Benaroya.

It was fucking awesome, actually. The guitar was raw and had no effects on it. But I like the grooviness of the Benaroya version better.

I just noticed Matt's skinny New Wave tie during the Benaroya performance. Haha. Matt.

Regarding the MOTH demo, didn't any of you actually buy the MOTH single?

This was back in the day when I was still buying EVERYTHING they put out.

Dock of the Bay was from '94, not '92. Murfreesboro, 3/26. I was there.

Had you included "Real Thing" I would be all over this collection.
