Sadly, for years, I thought Pearl Jam would be a perfect fit for the annual "big show" at Piedmont. (They're allowed to do one big concert a year there - before the return of Music Midtown last year with Coldplay, said concerts included The Eagles, Paul McCartney, Dave Matthews Band, etc.)
Except that I wanted it to be THEIR GODDAMN SHOW instead of a "festival" so that my 10C membership wouldn't continue to be FUCKING USELESS IN ATLANTA.

Well, if this is the closest they come, I guess me and B will be carpooling down there. That might be a little awkward.
I'd be down with that, but my fastest route only cuts through the far Western end of SC.
I'm working on securing permission for this event.

Music Midtown's website is down. Anyone have any idea what a day pass will cost?

It's just one guy, he does mash ups and stuff like that. Even if it's not your thing, I suggest checking him out. My college room mate was into him and dragged me to one of his shows, and I ended up falling into the crowd trying to jump from a speaker stack to the stage, finally ended up on stage and danced/made out with a bunch of people (girls? I hope so). College was awesome.

Only went once as a freshman in college. Black Crowes, Widespread Panic, Willie Nelson, Kid Rock, Hole, Ben Harper, Everclear, and a bunch of other acts. Fun time. Tickets weren't all that expensive either. It was over 10 years ago but I think they were around the $50 mark, but who knows? This could be a good gig if they're headlining and closing, kind of along the lines of Bonnaroo, Lolla, and Reading, but yeah, the whole idea of it being a greatest hits gig is a little sketchy.

Initially, tickets will cost $55 for one day, $100 for both, with VIP packages ringing in at $250 and $500 and a “Super” VIP option for $1,000 for the weekend. They go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday via Ticketmaster. Prices are expected to increase – likely $65 for a one day pass and $125 for the weekend – during the summer.
