In the last two years (to the day, today) PJ has headlined two concerts in the US, the PJ20 shows last labor day. Since then they have toured Canada, South America, and Europe twice. Now they announce their return to Philly, three years after closing out the Spectrum, and it's a festival consisting of a who's who of overrated crap sponsored by a soul crushing multinational behemoth. I think the bar is now so low, it's not even a debate anymore, much less spirited.

And I'll still end up going, fuckers.

I'm in. I passed on the Spectrum Halloween shows and that was a mistake. I'm not missing out on hearing Real Thing for the first time.

i suppose it's an off album year so festivals are understandable to an extent. This one seems like a bit of an odd choice though.

Also confirms that make is still appartenly the last to know anything. He mentioned last week they would only be playing one other show this year and that it would be in San Fran in September :shake:

Still debating about going. Feeling like I did when they were here to close out the Spectrum - feel out of place (racially)

I've never seen PJ live, and I'm missing BRAD tonight in Philly and I'm sad as HELL about it (I need to see Stoney LIVE JUST ONCE!!!!).

I hate Jay, but I only want to attend for PJ.

Who here is actually going?

You sure he said "wife," and not "partner?"

Filed marriage certificate (married on 10/1/11) in WA says Vivien L Wang on it...so that spells FEMALE TO ME

I find this level of personal detail slightly disturbing.

It may be an actual female....but it shouldn't go unnoticed that "wang" was still involved somehow.

But consistent digs at him being "gay" are not disturbing or creepy?

Geesh...whatever. They dished it, I gave it back. If you're gonna talk ISH about someone, back up your information WITH FACTS. I did.

He's married to a woman - FACT.

Don't like it...sorry, but I'm sick of the gay jabs Stone gets on this board.

over/under number of posts before parts of this are merged with the negativity thread.

I had kinda accepted this as a non-PJ year for me until this was announced. 10th consecutive year I'll be seeing PJ. And this Jay-Z thing figures to be different which will be nice
