Dude, relax. I'm super duper excited because of Amsterdam. And although those were my only two shows planned, I'm already going to Arras Saturday and looking to see if I might get to Berlin next week. It was amazing. But come on, they're just not "better than ever". Still, enjoy it. I'm sure you will. I wish we could have had a few beers in Amsterdam. :)

If Breath and In my tree had been played, this would have elevated an already incredible set into a whole other level of incrediballs...

No it wasn't. But that shouldn't take away from the fact this Amsterdam stint was really fantastic.

Also, I'll give great credit to Dimitris from Greece who did the relaying. He was in the back of the 10C area, I was on the rail just behind it. I mean, it's easy sitting behind your computer on a day when there's a show getting the relays in, but there has to be someone at that show actually putting a text through every song. I know I totally couldn't do it. He was dancing all show long though. :)

I totally understand people who won't relay from a show. I was hesitant to agree to do it my first time. But I found that I was able to easily do it quickly at the beginning of each song without taking away from my focus and enjoyment of the show.

You really can't honestly believe that in 2012 Pearl Jam is playing better than they ever have in their entire history.

That must have been what the charter member came up with. That would have been epic.

In terms of overall experience for band and audience in the room i'd say they are . It's inclusive. Whereas before they were really insular on stage. They were almost playing to themselves and we just got to watch. Nowadays, they're playing to/for us as well as themselves and it's all the better for it. I on't mean sing alongs or performing. Just they've grown out of the small place mindset and are happy in their skin as a band for a big crowd.
I thought seeing them in a small place would be heaven. After that show, I realised their an arena band and they're better suited to that.

I wouldn't have traded Nothing as it seems for any of those songs that weren't played. :)

Evidence I haven't fully outgrown my fanboy-ness: I still get a kick out of seeing the handwritten setlists.
