They really need to stop with this. Especially when it comes at the expense of songs like Of The Girl, Long Road, Release, Can't Keep, Sometimes, etc...It's not always the case but normally, if they don't open with one of those songs, you aint gonna hear them that night.

For me, "Elderly" is alright, but when they open with it, I feel hatred towards it and think what a waste.

It was going do (backspaer-less) well...
Just breathe, Fixer and UK need a break...
Why not play some Speed Of Sound, Johnny Guitar and Force of Nature instead?

Okay, this setlist is real good lookin', especially:

Last Exit > Do the Evolution > Love Boat Captain
Present Tense (early in the set too!) > Push Me, Pull Me
Cropduster
Insignificance
Smile > Habit in the 2nd encore

:nice:

I agree that Small Town isn't the most exciting opener, but then again, it opened the first Adelaide show in 2006 and that was an incredible night.

I also can't stand Just Breathe, but reading about Ed's dedication of it in Oslo to Dennis Flemion made me feel a little weepy, so I'm willing to let it go for the moment. Hopefully it'll appear a lot less frequently once they have new material to play.

Well, Of the Girl & Release both featured as opener of encore 1 on this tour. Maybe they realized this?

Hopefully. I have no real prob with Small Town, but just get a little bummed when it opens a show. However, if they started incorporating those other songs in encores, mid-set, etc...more often, then I would care less what they opened with.

Albany 03 was a great fucking show.

my wife (though only girlfriend at the time we went together) bought me a dvd of the show.

 Was at that one too. I liked the setlist but felt it was short without the 2nd encore.

Incredible show. Somehow Ed(who could barely speak in Oslo his voice was that shot) was. In the best voice I can remember hearing him. Kick ass setlist and all the touring pals. This was a Great night in a wonderful town.
