Today I am going to my parent's house for what is considered a delicacy in southern PA Amish country where I grew up. It's pig stomach. It's actually pork sausage and potatoes cooked inside the stomach of the pig. Most people just eat the sausage/potatoes once cooked, but a few eat the stomach itself as well.
I think people in other parts of the country eat this too, but it is commonly known as "Hog Maw".
What strange/unique foods have you all experienced?

This isn't too unusual but I quite enjoy nopalitos with carne asada, basically strips of cactus. Sort of tart with a nice texture, goes well with the steak.

Eggs and crackling are pretty disgusting when you think about it. I also ate pickled ants, which was pretty funny because I was trying to impress my family, not realising they were only pretending to eat it themselves.
