Went to my favorite place last night, a little BYOB in Philly called Kanella. Made me think to start this thread.

I'd recommend anyone traveling here or who lives close by tries it. It's the best food I've ever eaten anywhere. Nothing fancy, just really good stuff.

So whats YOUR favorite restaurant? where is it? Links to their menu would be cool too.

Man, I remember loving Salt & Pepper, Little Fish, and Sabrina's when I lived in Philly. Bella Vista/Queen's Village is where it's at.

That place looks good.

I am pretty sure only Sabrina's is still around. Lot of great new restaurants have opened up but some pretty good and popular places have closed in the last year and a half.

If any of you are ever driving through CT and want the greatest pizza you'll ever have, stop here:

They also brew their own beer, and it's excellent (especially their Amber Ale).

hahahaha, why do you mean style? How about you list your favorites for each type. I guess you are getting at something like favorite chain, bbq (inspired by the other thread), italian, seafood, steakhouse, etc?

For me, the place I listed was the one place I would pick if it were up to me to choose where to eat. I guess for me it's the one place I have been to several times that never lets me down, it's a relaxed atmosphere, reasonably priced and the food is always excellent.

I guess on the other hand, I've been to a few places where everything was really good but the portions were small and the prices very high and I left feeling ripped off. (Osteria, Tinto, Chifa)

One place I have been dying to go to for years is Vetri, but I want to do the tasting menu which is $135 per person.....so I'm waiting for a special occasion.

Instead of buying each other gifts, on our anniversary, my wife and I pick a new (to us) restaurant to go to. Our first year in the city we picked Babbo. We did the full tasting menu w/ wine pairings. It was immaculate.
