I did a search, but couldn't find a thread covering this topic. I went to Luby's yesterday and chose fried okra as one of my two sides. This is the definition of comfort food for me. Aside from lenny (probably) and rebar (likely), who else enjoys this wonderful dish?

Also, the seeds from this vegetable are supposed to show up again later...right?

This thread is really a poorly veiled attempt at seeking reassurance that what's been showing up in my boom boom lately is just okra seeds and not something more sinister.

I love fried okra!

I had some that was the whole uncut piece of okra in a restaurant the other day. some sort of jalapeno sauce for it, delicious.

I still prefer it cut with some sort of cornmeal batter, but I'll take it pretty much anyway I can get it.

Same here. That's how I grew up eating it. I like it crispy, but not quite slightly burnt.
