Maybe you aren't making black beans the right way. I boil them with green pepper, onion, garlic, black pepper, and a touch of both white vinegar & cayenne pepper. Then simmer for a while (roughly 15 min). Then drain most of the water and pour them over some brown rice. That's a lot of fiber (and other nutrients). Tastes awesome.

Or you can find a recipe for Cuban style black beans, which are one of the most delicious things on Earth, but extremely hard to get right. All of my family is Cuban and still only a couple people have made them perfectly.

Steel cut oatmeal for breakfast is a great choice too.

Thanks for tips. I tend to not like spicy food but I never thought about actually mixing the beans with something. I just put them in a saucepan and heat them up.

well things were going pretty swell, but it feels like its starting to spin out of control. twice a day is a bit inconvenient for me.

psyllium husks powder. you can take more than the dosage.

its supposedly less harsh than other forms of fiber, so its good for anal fissures and hemmoroids!

Maybe I will try it. I kind of hate the powdered supplements.

I don't eat anything that isn't whole wheat, and I eat a salad a day at least. High fiber is cakewalk, and really most of it tastes better anyway. Why anybody would want to eat otherwise, I don't really know.

Mission whole wheat tortillas have 26 grams of fiber in each one.
