The crock pot is the most underrated kitchen utensil. Right now the crock pot is making chicken enchilades (even if I don't know how to spell it).

It is pretty cool to set your supper to start cooking at 8am.

The chicken enchiladas were prepared last night. This morning the timer was set. In about 2 hours, I will be eating the above chix enchiladas. Best invention ever.

wow, weird, my mom has one but just came into my bedroom and said she's going out to buy a new one, the old one is too small for her liking.

My mom makes roasts and string beef in it. She tosses in potatoes, and then boils cabbage.
It's our St. Patty's Day dinner.

as a foodie, I support this thread....I just bought a new one about 2 weeks ago..got a bigger one than I had before..Big Stainless beast..anyway, if you like beef stew, do it in these..I will pass along a secret about making the stew....Throw whatever you want in the crock as far as incredients are concerned...The trick, however, instead of using water or basic stock to cook it in, use a pot of brewed coffee to cook everything in  ....coffee in a natural tenderizer and does wonders in cooking soups.....

ps....for you coffee haters, you can not taste any coffee after hours of cooking...so just do it

the showtime and the crock pot get about equal time in my house. you can't make boiled peanuts in the showtime but you sure as hell can't get a spun chicken that falls off the bone in the crock.

Last Christmas my mom got me a set of baking dishes. The box was just opened about a month ago when my mother came over and was looking in my cabinets for something. She looked at me and shook her head then opened them up and washed them and put them away. Like that's going to make me use them. I suck.
