Its the only thing the entire family will agree to eat.
We will be having green beans but not in casserole - I will saute them with garlic, dried hot red peppers, mustard seeds, and some turmeric. Not american but tasty.
Thanksgiving food is nice and all, but mostly kinda bland. The only thing I really look forward to is the green bean casserole. Gotta hit that shit early and get your fair share of the onions.

I like it and all, but if we're gonna go all out for a holiday, I think we could do better than turkey and vegetables.

This year we are having a large number of people at the family dinner, so we are doing a turkey and a ham. I'm gonna hover around that ham while everyone else fights over the dry-as-shit turkey.
