Whiskey in general? Nothing beats a single malt scotch whiskey. The best I've ever had is a Glenfiddich 15, the one that's gold reserve or however the fuck they put it. Some say it's better than their 18 or 21. I don't drink blended scotch whiskeys anymore (if I feel like spending) as to not break the Lord's seventh commandment.
For cheaper ones, I go for Crown Royal all the way. Not only is it smooth, but the bag is good for my D&D dice
For American whiskeys, Wild Turkey with Honey is usually kept around the house for sore throats, colds, or post-smoking shit.

Jack. Kessler got me through my college years though. And a PJ friend of mine and I, since we both became teachers, toasted to a shot of Teacher's Whiskey... WORST shit ever. I highly reccomend you stay away from it.

I'm also one of those whiskey lovers that will drink any kind, no matter the quality. Bad Whiskey is still whiskey to me, and any whiskey is good whiskey.
I also prefer to drink it straight. Chasers ruin it for me, and mixed is generally not my favorite either

Agreed. No mixers, they ruin it. I've also found that I prefer it room temperature rather than over ice. I'll get it with ice at a restaurant so I don't look like a savage just shooting it down though.

Seagram's 7.
I will retract my statement about prefering my whiskey straight, when you figure Seagrams 7 with 7Up into the equation. 7/7's are kickass
But you're not ruining much with Seagrams 7. No offense, it's a fine mixing whiskey, but it's not much of a sipping drink.
true.
Seagrams is like Gordans Vodka. I like it when I mix it, but I cant drink it straight, but then again, it takes a mighty fine Vodka for me to drink it withouot it being mixed, chaser or no chaser

same here buddy.
My palate isn't trained well enough to care about single malts so i'm happy with the mid-range mass produced stuff. I'd just want to mix it with ginger ale anyways
