my daughter and me went on a little hike today and she spotted something like this:
we ate a couple of thick slices of it and it was delicious (with chicken/maple syrup broth) but now i have a bagful of in my fridge - any idea shroom-folks?

I found a Boletus today. I say 'I', my boyfriend found it and made me crawl around the stinging nettles to get to the ones that hadn't gone rotten. Tasted good though. No idea what kind of Boletus...

First mushroom i ever found was a shaggy inkcap.
what did it looked like? i often prefer Boletes over Chanterelles these days. mostly because of their dimension.

what did it looked like? i often prefer Boletes over Chanterelles these days. mostly because of their dimension.
I'm trying to think what it looked like before it went off... It's now a dirty brown colour - pinky orange when you dig into it and had a redish coloured stem with the honeycomb gills.
actually, i think it's going green now. I should probably stop tasting it, god, i'm weird.
