by the way, it appears we have nearly 21,000 threads in general discussion: how was a general lunch thread not made sooner? kind of weird, unless i missed something during my search (which could be). i love lunch.

I'm thinking about getting some chinese today.

This area sucks for lunch, though. Here is a list of all the fast food places within walking distance:

Across the street:
the Chinese place (their House Chicken is good)
McDonald's

A quarter mile away:
Jack in the Box
Qdoba
Duck and Decanter (nice little deli, if overpriced)
Park Central Deli ($10 low-quality cafeteria food..no thanks)

I never eat at McDonald's, so unless I want to drive somewhere, it's either Chinese, Jack in the Box, Qdoba, or Duck and Decanter. Not alot of options there. If I wanna drive a mile, I can go to Quizno's, which has barely any parking, or Los Compadres, which is great but takes awhile... or Wendy's, which I haven't really had any desire to eat at for awhile. There's also Honey Bear's BBQ, Subway, and Burger King a couple miles south, but the light rail construction makes it a pain to go down there, and none of those places make it worth it.

I had to go to the Dr today for MORE blood-drawing fun, so I swung through a BK drive through for the Chicken Tender Big Kids meal.

I got a free mini cabbage Patch figurine. :nice:
