Here's the deal: my sister, my roommate, and his fiance (who grew up next door to my sister and I) have a rotating Sunday evening dinner. Each week someone cooks the entree, someone else the appetizer, someone dessert, and someone brings drinks. Next week is my turn to cook the entree.

Now, the last three weeks we have had italian, because I guess it's easiest to make? I don't really know. I'm not the most talented cook in the world, but I can follow a recipe I guess. I have an amazing kitchen and I'd love to use it.

I need some recipe ideas that aren't italian and are vegetarian friendly. I was thinking tofu stir-fry, but if you guys have a more adventurous idea I'd love to hear it.

The dinner is next Sunday, but I need to decide by Wednesday probably so that everyone has time to plan for foods that go with it. What do you think, RM?

I thought about that too. It would be ideal if it was actually cold next week. One time I went to a dinner in which the host cooked vegetarian shepherd's pie. I'd love that recipe. It was incredible.

I like the curry idea. It's good, you can use any vegetables or meat really, and it's ethnic without being weird.

All of my meat eating co-workers (42) love this recipe - most of them had no idea it was vegan.
