I used to crave McRibs. But then my friend told a story about going down a a girl, and he used the image of David Crosby eating a McRib as an analogy.

Haven't had the taste for 'em since.

So i cruised past a McDonalds and decided i was in the mood for their seasonal pie...

and i saw the McRib on the menu. I cant recall having one of these in my adult life, and said, sure, why not.

It was pretty surprisingly super awesome and a half. The Pickles were a nice surprise.

Anyone else hear the story they ran a few weeks ago on Fresh Air about the cult following that these sandwiches have? I wasn't aware that they were only offered at select locations in the past and that some men would drive ten hours just to get one.

Reid, if I ever drive 10 hours for anything from McDonalds, will you please drive 10 hours to come shoot me?

I think pork is one of those things we start to appreciate more as we get older. I can not imagine driving 10 hours for one of these, but id probably drive an extra ten minutes if i decided thats what i wanted. And we had a favorite BBQ place (chain, no less) that was 10 minutes away- and it closed. Their other location is about 45 minutes away, and once every 3-4 months ago, we go out of our way to go there. I know that is not 10 hours, but i guess i can kinda understand.
