well, like i mentioned, i added more seasonings like chili powder. i used fresh jalapenos and cut them for quick acting flavor and heat, but it wasn't cutting it. maybe they were shit peppers.

yeah, if you're making a quick chili the best thing to do is dice the peppers, as sliced peppers won't really add much spice in such a short amount of time
so cream cheese instead of a roux, huh? but you're not a fatty?

heh. i was forced to add the cream cheese towards the end, after an additional splash of milk didn't resolve consistency issues.
it's possible i neglected to drain the beans fully, resulting in a less than desirable chili base.
