Making some tonight. Toasted Large Hogie Roll, lettuce, tomato, provolone, sauteed onions, peppers, mushrooms, Steak, horseradish sauce or Mayo.

Also making them with frozen tater tots. Yes. Tater tots.

That's not a Philly Cheesesteak.

You need cheese sauce, not real cheese.

When I was in philly in 2008 the only food I ate was cheesesteaks. I ate at 3 different places, but the best one I had came from some dirty looking guy on the side of the road.

Maybe the ones IN Philly are better? I had a Cheesesteak with the cheese sauce here in CO and it was disgusting.

It's ok on nachos, as long as it's not made from Gubment cheese. Otherwise yeah, it's nasty stuff.

It's a different sandwich, Doug. I get a steak bomb without the cheese, which is steak with grilled peppers mushrooms and onions. Only one place in the world I can get it from too. Everywhere else getting it with no cheese means it's dry and nasty.

I do, but that's probably culturally unsound of me I'm guessing?

The one I had recently was as Doug described. Just meat and cheese sauce.

i dunno, philly is the only place ive ever gotten a cheesesteak so saying "philly" cheesesteak is a little redundant.

big fan of Pat's Steaks b/c they put the cheese on top. i always get extra cheese and plain fries, then dip the fries into the steak. im such a fat kid at heart
