The cafe I go to makes homemade bagels every morning, she only makes a couple dozen. They aren't anything like any other bagel I've ever eaten. Spinach parm bagel with schmear.

Well yeah, fresh ones are clearly the best. But as far as mass produced goes, Thomas' does a damned good job. Also, the cinnamon raisin english muffins they make are pretty awesome.

Also, the fresh ones don't stay soft enough for very long and I don't eat them fast enough for them to keep. I can buy a bag of Thomas' and at the end of the week they taste just as good.
